As every year this time we wanted to relax with a nice winter vacation starting in January. This naturally raises the question where it might go well. The growing Olympic spirit, and the Biathlon World Cup leads us to several stations of Skijager sift through. Prompt hang we stayed at the beautiful village of Antholz in South Tyrol. A narrow valley at 1600 meters, framed by a few peaks over 3,000 meters. So we booked one weeks Biathlon Mecca of northern Italy. From Munich, it was via the burner in 3 hours. About 15 kilometers away from Kronplatz, which is a center for alpine skiing, was our Falkensteiner Hotel almost at the Biathlon Center. Even if we do not fired a shot, was the entire week a hit.
We were pretty lazy around in the hotel spa, ate like royalty and were inspired by the beautiful surroundings and enchant the beautiful weather. We refined our technique in the free running style with the help of our ski instructor Isidore (this is not a figure from Middle Earth!) And was able to get some competition at the Biathlon Center air. To set a cultural high point, We visited on a day of Bolzano.
All in all a fantastic start to the year. I'm sure it will take us again to Antholz. Things can go the year.
